What is Mezcal?
Mezcal is the oldest distilled spirit in North America. Mezcal can only be distilled in Mexico and comes form the maguey plant which is commonly called “Agave” in the United States. Mezcal can legally be made from 28 different varieties of agave. Tequila is distilled from the “blue agave” is a Mezcal. All Tequila is Mezcal, but not all Mezcal is Tequila.
Mezcal Semillero, is a 100% artisanal drink of very high quality, produced in Oaxaca from one of the highest quality agave plants, the Espadin, and which offers a unique tasting experience.
